Increasing responsibilities are common for teenagers. Instead, the Last Man Standing writers could’ve shown Boyd handling the responsibilities of taking care of the dog. The “n’ Stuff” portion focused on the secondary storyline. Last Man Standing Season 7, Episode 8 was entitled “HR’s Rough n’ Stuff.” The “HR’s Rough” portion dealt with Kyle and his job at Outdoor Man. He found his self-confidence and his place at Outdoor Man. Kyle earned an “A+” grade from Ed and Mike. Because words wouldn’t suffice, Mike concocted this situation to force Kyle to stand up for himself. Mike knew Kyle could succeed in the human resources position if only he believed in himself. Following his declaration, Ed led the men in a round of applause for Kyle. He reminded the three men that Outdoor Man employees have a family-like atmosphere. Frustrated with the outcome, Kyle finally stood up for himself. The three men traded verbal jabs and they ignored Kyle’s input. Naturally, the three other men veered off course, and the meeting quickly got out of hand. Kyle hosted a meeting with Mike, Joe, and Chuck.Īt the meeting, Kyle attempted to follow company protocol for dealing with a harassment claim. Ed also implied Kyle is a part of his will. He sought advice from Ed, and Ed told him to deal with the situation immediately. Haven’t we seen that before? Kyle was initially overwhelmed. On his first day in the position, Kyle received a tough task.Ĭhuck (Jonathan Adams) and Joe (Jay Leno) filed a complaint against Mike. He has been a floater for most of his time at Outdoor Man.īecause people generally like Kyle and he is so friendly, Mike offered Kyle the opportunity to temporarily work in human resources while another employee is on vacation. Kyle constantly has been told he will never amount to anything. Mike doesn’t see Kyle as a failure but he understood Mandy’s viewpoint. While Mandy doesn’t see him as a failure, she can’t give him that confidence at work. To an extent, he feels like is he is failing Mike because Mike is his boss.
While Kyle isn’t concerned about ascending up the corporate ladder, he thinks he is failing as an Outdoor Man employee. He wanted to move Kyle into a different position. Kyle offered to leave Outdoor Man to work for his cousin’s painting business. Mike doesn’t want Kyle to simply earn money but rather feel like he matters at Outdoor Man.
